Through the Pupil Premium Grant, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham will receive £2,530 for each looked after child for 2025-26. 

This funding will initially be retained by the Aspire Virtual School’s headteacher as required by the Department for Education (DfE). The funding is ring-fenced for making improvements to support the educational attainment of looked after children. For more information, click on the links below:

Pupil Premium Plus 

There are occasions where a student or school needs additional funding. This could be because the student needs a specialist intervention or because the school would like to run some training for its staff.

The designated teacher or social worker can apply for this via the Pupil Premium Plus (PP+) additional funding form – see the link below. Please note that PP+ is considered on a termly basis.
