The Aspire Virtual School works with carers to help them support their foster children’s educational achievements.

Transition to Secondary and to Uni
Whether moving from primary to secondary school, or from school to a job or further education, transitions are an avoidable part of school life.
Transitions can be difficult and stressful for young people, who may worry about getting lost, dealing with the higher level of work and homework, or fitting in – the same concerns that parents/carers have for them. But, with positive support, these changes should be manageable and relatively stress-free.

Admissions
Admission for school places is applied for by a social worker with guidance and support from the Aspire Virtual School and is dealt with by the borough’s School Admissions team.
The Aspire Virtual School supports pupils outside of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, in Kent and other areas of England. For information on the admissions arrangements in these areas, visit the relevant local authority site.
